Rennie Museum Announces Acquisition of A'Driane Nieves' Artwork

Galerie Marguo is pleased to announce that the painting An atypical black hole in a typical universe has been acquired by the Rennie Museum, Vancouver, Canada.

Bob Rennie, founder of the Rennie Museum, remarked on the acquisition, “As with all young artists you question: ‘Ten years from now will A'Driane Nieves' work be part of the conversation and claim painting discipline attributed to the artist?’ I believe so, which is why we brought the work into our collection.”

Presented in Marguo’s online exhibition 'Notes From the Healing Circle’ in July 2022, this monumental painting is an abstract and powerful incarnation of Nieves’ personal experience with disability and mental health. The artist believes that creating and viewing visual art that addresses difficult topics can serve as a catalyst for personal growth & social change.

Galerie Marguo will present Nieves’ first solo exhibition in Europe and with the gallery in early 2023.
