behaviour: the decisions we make, why we make them and how we feel as a
result. These decisions are windows into our very personalities. In this
spirit, each of de Laval’s paintings acts as a window into her
character, her pleasures and her imaginings.Among Oh de
Laval’s varied inspirations are Francis Bacon’s hedonistic lifestyle,
sociologist Émile Durkheim’s theory that deviance is necessary to a
functioning, successful society, and her love for the French New Wave,
Italian cinema, and Chilean director Alejandro Jodorowsky.
Oh de Laval (b.1990, Warsaw, PL) earned a degree in sociology from the
University of Warsaw in 2016 before moving to London to pursue painting.

Oh de Laval collaborated with Kali Uchis on the art for her 2020 EP To
Feel Alive. Her work is held in the collections of AMMA Foundation
(Mexico City, MX); Dib Museum (Bangkok, TH); Rudin Dewoody Collection
(Florida, US); Studio Berkhain Museum (Berlin, DE); Emergentes Art
Collection (Lebanon); Xiao Foundation (Hong Kong); X Museum (Beijing);
and the Asymmetry Foundation (London).オ・ド・ラヴァルは1990年、ポーランド・ワルシャワ生まれ。2016年にワルシャワ大学で社会学の学位を取得後、ロンドンに拠点を移し絵画を制作し始める。近年の主な個展は、2023年ギャルリ・マルグオ（パリ、2023年）、ユニット（ロンドン、2021年）など。グループ展はギャルリ・クレール・カストー（パリ、2024年）、アローチ・ギャラリー（ニューヨーク、2024年）、セックスミュージアム（ニューヨーク、 2024年）、ブリッジモグラギャラリー（2023年）、ギャルリ・ドロストゥ（パリ、2022年）、ナッシマ・ランドー・アート財団（テルアビブ、2022年）、アジア・アート・センター（台北、2021年）、シャオ・ファウンデーション（香港、2021年）、ヴィラ・メルケル（エッスリンゲン、2021年）、ギャルリ・ドロストゥ（パリ、2020年）、ユニット（ロンドン、2020年）など。
