Drawing on themes of energetic exchange symbolized by the nature of plants and inspired by their presence in the artist’s studio, Belgian-Hungarian artist Pauline Mikó from OPYA will stage special music performances during 6 - 8pm on Friday 12 January on the occassion of the opening of Steingrímur Gauti's solo exhibition 'Chop Wood, Carry Water.'
Using a system of sensors, synthesizers and electrodes connected to plants and her own body, OPYA creates bio-electronic music that sonically manifests the connection between all human and non-human entities that is so frequently overlooked in the Anthropocene.
