LESS IS NOT MORE is a large-scale recreation of a handmade T-shirt made by the artist’s father, artist Ruyell Ho (b. 1936, Shanghai, lives Chicago). By performing and reinscribing the hand and mark making of her father’s gesture, Ross-Ho investigates and honors the inheritance of his irreverent artistic ethos through muscle memory and monumentality.
