    From 17 December 2020 to 10 February 2021, Saint Laurent Rive Droite collaborated with Galerie Marguo to present 6 photographs by Horst P. Horst curated by Saint Laurent's creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

     

    Horst P. Horst is a pioneer of fashion photography ranked alongside Irving Penn and Richard Avedon as one of the pre-eminent portrait photographers of the 20th century. The distinctive and elegant images created by Horst produced a timeless beauty that transcends fashion and modernity.

    While best known for his fashion and portrait work, Horst P. Horst had always maintained a strong interest and passion in still-life and landscape photography throughout his career. 
     
    He was a true magician of light and shadow and knew how to create atmosphere and emotions with lighting, the exact principle understood by the greatest painters such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Vermeer.
